In terms of number of subscribers, China mobile is the largest carrier in the world - they added another 68 million customers last year.

They are rolling out China’s home-grown 3G network for the Beijing Olympics - TD-SCDMA. It has been successfully rolled out now in eight provinces.

“Management expects TD trail launch at April 08, and provides commercial service during Beijing Olympic Games in the summer,” Citigroup analyst Michael Meng said. “We believe CM will dominate the fast-growing China market even after restructuring.”
