Beijing’s new National Grand Theatre is one of Beijing’s new architectural masterpieces. The controversial building was designed by French architect Paul Andreu.

The exterior is made from titanium and has been described as looking like a UFO. The building has created controversy for not fitting with the style of nearby buildings such as the Great Hall of the People and the Forbidden City. The building is surrounded by a moat of water and the building is entered by going under the water.
