Australia will get a good boost in its medal rankings after they have won gold and bronze in the women’s triathlon.

Emma Snowsill won the race with a time of one hour, 58 minutes and 27.66 seconds.

The silver medal went to Portugal’s Vanessa Fernandes who finished in a time of one hour, 59 minutes and 34.63 seconds and Emma Moffatt, won the bronze medal with a time of one hour, 59 minutes and 55.84 seconds.
