All Beijing Olympic events will be completed on time
Kevan Gosper, Vice President of the International Olympic Committee has said that the Olympic events will be completed on time. The IOC have previously mentioned that events may be postponed if the environment is not up to scratch.
“There is room to postpone events, but the organising committee is extremely confident all events will be completed by the closing ceremony (on August 24),” Gosper said.
“We are talking about pushing an event back a few hours and, in the worst-case scenario, the next day, but that is highly unlikely to happen. The IOC and organising committee are committed to running the Games within the scheduled dates.”
