YouTube back online in China
Video sharing site YouTube has been having some “technical difficulties” the last few days in China, but it looks like it is back.

Demand crashes ticket systems 1 reply
As the second round of Olympic tickets went on sale yesterday, the demand was so heavy the system took a beating.
“We sincerely apologize to the general public,” Beijing officials said in the statement. “Because of the overwhelming volume of page visits, the technical system was unable to perform the tasks well enough, and many applicants were unable to successfully submit their applications.”
Sales are expected to resume on November 5th.

Second round of tickets go on sale 1 reply
The second round of tickets went on sale yesterday for people living in China. For foreigners living in China to be eligible they must hold a visa valid for 6 months or longer.
Tickets can be bought online, at designated Bank of China branches or by calling (010)952008. People who missed out on the first round were delighted to have a second chance for securing tickets to the 2008 Beijing Games.
According to some reports the website was having trouble keeping up with the demand from people trying to buy tickets online.
