Malaysia to send wushu participants to Beijing
Malaysia is planning to send at least four wushu experts to the Beijing Olympics. Wushi is part of the competition but no medals will be awarded. The qualifying event for the competition will be held from November 12-17.
“The top six exponents from the respective combined events will qualify. Places are limited and competition will be stiff,” said manager Kim Fatt.
“There will only be five combined events in the respective men’s and women’s divisions. Our exponents have to do well in both disciplines to stand a chance to qualify.
“These are the best exponents we have in the country and I believe all of them have fighting chances to win medals in the world championships.”
