Yang Wei helped to power China to a gold medal in the men’s team title at the world gymnastics championships in Stuttgart, Germany. The six man team comprising: Yang, Xiao Qin, Huang Xu, Chen Yibing, Liang Fuliang and Zou Kai beat Olympic champions Japan and hosts Germany, came in third.

“It’s the fifth time I’ve won a team gold medal and this competition has strengthened team spirit,” said Yang after achieving his sixth world gold for China, including individual titles.
