Usain Bolt looking good for a gold medal in the men’s 100m

Usain Bolt looked in top form in his heats for the final tonight in the men’s 100 meters. He ran his first heat in 10.02 seconds.

In the quarter-final he ran 9.92 and he even had time to look from side to side.

He said: “I just ran the first 50 metres. Then I looked around to make sure I was safe and I shut it off.”

Asafa Powell and Tyson Gay also won their quarter finals. Asafa Powell had to overcome a stomach problem and Gay had to push himself a little more than Bolt to win his races.

Over the period leading up to the olympic i had Powell to beat Bolt,, however having seen them in the quarter finasl ,and the immaculate ease with which Bolt did his heat, i’m now certain beyond the shadow of doubt he will be the winner in the 100m.
