Tom Ashley of New Zealand wins gold in men’s windsurfing

The 2008 world champion Tom Ashley from New Zealand has won the gold medal in the men’s windsurfing, with 52 points. Julien Bontemps of France finished second, just one point behind.

Bontemps dropped his sail as he rounded the first buoy. He was in tears after the finish, hurling his sunglasses into the sea.
