Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park

The Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park is located on the Beijing Chaobai River and is about a 90 minute drive drive from down-town Beijing.

It is a newly built venue and will host the Rowing, Canoeing, and Kayaking and 10 kilometre marathon swimming events.

Hi Mike, thanks for the post. Does anybody have information about the best way to get to Shunyi? Taxi should be an option, but it is hard to predict taxi availability and willingness to drive out this far during the Games. Is there a train that goes here? What about taking the train to the airport and catching a cab from there? Any info would be appreciated.

Taxi is probably easiest. I am fairly sure taxis will take you there. A lot of foreigners live in Shunyi and commute to Beijing. The airport is in the direction of Shunyi so taking the express to the airport is another option. There should be Olympic buses going out there, but at the moment I don’t know where they depart from. They should be an option when you return to downtown Beijing, but are likely to be crowded! Taxis are cheap and comfortable. I am not rich, but I tend to go everywhere I want by either bicycle or taxi.

hello,

How long and roughly how much would a taxi take to get to Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park from the airport?
