Sex scandal rocks the Beijing Olympics

Where would a major event like the Olympics be without a sex scandal hitting the headlines?

The scandal started when singer-actor Edison Chen from Hong Kong took his pink MacBook laptop in for repair. He had stored nude photos of him and twins singer Gillian Chung and several other Hong Kong celebrities. The images proved too much of a temptation for the computer technician to upload to the internet.

Gillian Chung has now been banned from singing at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics.

The computer technician has been charged with using a computer for “dishonest intent” and has made a series of court appearances.

“The lives of many innocent people have been affected by this malicious and criminal conduct, and in this regard I am filled with pain, hurt and frustration,” Chen said in a video statement.

“I hereby use this opportunity to apologise to anyone who has been affected by this strange, strange ordeal.

How typical of the Ham-fisted Chinese government ha ha! Did Gillian Chung actually do anything immoral? No, she just had a mature relationship with another celebrity! And can the Chinese people handle the truth of the existence of human sexuality??? No!!!! And so the government criminalizes completely natural, inoffensive behavior and forcibly buries the head of China’s collective citizens in the sand! For the delicate, innocent, easily-corrupted-beyond-all-salvation-and-instantly-turned into-depraved-sex-fiends people of China must be protected by the all-knowing paternal state! Ha ha ha ha!!! These over-moralizing nitwits are hilarious! Sex is so dangerous! Everybody run and hide!

Wow…how typical of some “westerner” to generalize 1.3 billion people with a patronizing and condescending talk down. Everybody run and hide!

Sephan Larose, please say you’re an American. If you are, you dont really have any right to devalue the chinese government in this kind of event. Aint you the country thats built on what you like to call “freedom”, yet you are not allowed to swear on the radio or TV without cencorship?

Didnt Jacksson also get punished for flashing her boob at the Super Bowl?

Are you kidding! Any government would try and distance itself from a scandal like this. It has nothing to do with who the government is. I realize the Chinese government isn’t perfect but come on, they are saving the man from possible heckling. Why wouldn’t they protect their citizens from the corruption of AMERICAN ways, why would they want to end up like the States?
