Russia attacks Georgia while opening ceremony is on
I really don’t know the background to this, but I heard people talking about this while the opening ceremony was on. I did notice that Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin looked a bit agitated in the stand.
“All day today, they’ve been bombing Georgia from numerous warplanes and specifically targeting (the) civilian population, and we have scores of wounded and dead among (the) civilian population all around the country,” President Mikhail Saakashvili told CNN in an exclusive interview.
“This is the worst nightmare one can encounter,” he said.
Asked whether Georgia and Russia were now at war, he said, “My country is in self-defense against Russian aggression. Russian troops invaded Georgia.”

It is a shame to see when the Olympic games starts which is suppose to be about world peace.
Russian team should be thrown out of the Olympics. This should be indivaced to them if the government of their country doesn’t pull out of Georgia in the next 3 days. Full stop.
Georgia started the war by invading South Ossetia. Russia is finishing it.
No! No! No! It isnt truth dont believe them! Georgia attacked South Osetia first! South Osetia asked russia for help, cos there is very much russian people on osetia’s territory. georgia violated olympic peace!

When on the eve of the Olympics Georgian troops started bombing peaceful people including small children, women and the elder people your so-called free nwespapers and TV-/radio channels didn’t even noticed that! more than 1500 casualties among osetians and 15 russian peacemakers killed over that night. many of alived had and have to stay in basements without water and food and ability to connect with relatives! Tshinvali is comletely destroyed even hospitals with injured! And only when enourmous and “unscrupulous” Russia “invaded” “poor little” Georgia they miraculously woke and started to work accusing Russia of this “invasion”.
What is “funny” your mass media use photos of Georgian weapons and make comments as if they are Russian.
If you look back in 1990s when Russian peacemakers were on the territory of conflicts there were no conflicts at all. And since Georgia forced Russia to drive them away the situation has been becoming worse.
If we wanted war we would have done it long ago But we are intrested in peace in contradiction to Mr/ Saakhashvilly. HE has started genocide of Osetians. He is not any better than other tyrans and criminals against humanity.
And what is the world association doing? it’s just supporting him and his fascist regime silently (Europe) or openly (the USA) the Eastern Europe) ! And he feeling this goes on working the money he gets from the USA. and does that very well! How do you think he would hav dared to conduct this aggressive politics without any? it’s well known that Georgian government and Mr.Saakhashvily gets his salary from US funds including that of Soros. can this leader be free in his actions? No/\. He’s just a marionette and a lunatic/ he reminds me (and not only) Hitler.
Please! Don’t be so blind! Don’t let anyone manipulate with your mind and opinion!
At least try to see and compare and analyze both points of view not from just western mass media.

Mr. Saakashvili lies. Georgia attacked South Osetia. The conflict between Georgia and South Osetia lasts very long time and there was a group of Russian and Georgian peacemakers intended to PREVENT the possible slaughter. So, Russia only does what it should, that is - prevent slaughter. There was no any war actions on the Georgia territory. This is a lie and Mr. Saakashvili knows it.
Who ever started this war its a sad shame and a disgrace on the eve of the Olympics. Maybe its to do with the gas pipeline that Russia has running around Georgia and Russia wants no obstacles. I feel sorry for everyone there especially the injured and families of the dead. I had a vision of 3 frogs it was a real dream and this is a bad sign for the world but the end will be Christ.
thats so stupid Russia is only defending the Russian citizens living in South Osetia. And america actually started all this by giving Georgia weapons they did it on purpose to put blame on the russians Cold War II
Oh, yeah, the fact that the olympics going on during it is what makes war wrong. Otherwise it would be perfectly alright. That makes total sense.
Georgia din’t start the war by invading South Ossetia. Georgia owns South Ossetia de jure. Georgia can move his troops around at it’s territory. It’s their right. That shouldn’t be excuse to some other country to start war. Russians have no right to bomb other country’s territory.
But 9 of 10 Osetian citizens are Russians. And Osetia has the right to separate from georgia, because Osetia is a REPUBLIC, that enters georgian territory. And georgia doesn’t like this, of course. But see the methods, with which georgians try to solve this problem …… they are KILLING they people, their citizens in their cities! And georgia strted the war FIRST. There many real shocking videos in Internet …… an old woman with two little children ran across the street in Tskhinvali and georgian tank just killed them …… DON’T believe the news, which are told you that Russians attack georgia. Only as an answer to terrible actions from georgians. Rather much information sources in USA and Euro are distributing wrong stories. Don’t be deceived!
and sorry for my porr English …… I don’t accuse Georgian nation. I have many friends-georgians and all of them are very friendly people. This is saakashvili and his government fault. TV-channels, which are translating “right” news are fully turned off in Georgia. Even georgian citizens don’t know the real situation
