Paul Hamm to put hand to test

Paul Hamm is getting ready to put his hand to test and see if it is strong enough to compete at the Beijing Olympics.

“Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Those are the terms you hear,” Hamm’s coach Miles Avery said. “In some areas, it looks like he just didn’t skip a beat at all. It looks like Paul Hamm doing gymnastics.”

Hamm broke the fourth metacarpal in his right hand on May 22, he has since recovered from the break and has made the Olympic team.

He is still having some trouble on the parallel bars, but everyone around him is confident he will make a full recovery. The United States gymnastics team is rely on Paul and his twin-brother Morgan to bring home an Olympic medal.
