New Zealand wins first gold medal in women’s double scull

New Zealand’s Georgina Evers-Swindell and Caroline Evers-Swindell have won New Zealand’s first gold medal at the Beijing Olympics.

They just narrowly beat German rowers Annekatrin Thiele and Christiane Huth (1 sec difference).

Great Britain’s Elise Laverick and Anna Bebington won the bronze medal.
