More guessing as to who the cauldron lighter will be

The Wall Street Journal has an article with suggestions as to who will be the final torch bearer and light the Olympic cauldron. They have a few more suggestions that I did not think of when I wrote this post, is Li Ning.

Li Ning won 6 medals at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, including 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and a bronze medal. He went on to start his own sport and clothing company to rival Adidas and Nike. Since Li Ning is not an official sponsor of the Olympics, the decision could be too commercial.

Since Beijing has held the longest torch relay ever and had the most number of Olympic mascots ever (five), there could be a chance that more than one person will light the cauldron.
