Jan Frodeno sprints final strectch to win gold in men’s triathlon
Jan Frodeno from Germany has won the gold medal in the men’s triathlon at the Beijing Olympics, with a time of 1:48:53.
It was a close finish between Jan Frodeno and Canadian Simon Whitfield who won the silver medal. Frodeno must have saved a bit of energy to enable him to break away at the final stretch and win the gold medal.
Bevan Docherty from New Zealand won the bronze medal.
