What a thrill for those 12 year old Chinese girls! I guess you can break the rules when you are the host country. If those girls were 16 then that makes me about 70!

Not sure how this scoring thing is supposed to work but from what I saw at the final either the judges were blind or blackmailed. Comparing the 2 teams (China and USA) just looking at the 4th rotation. Listening to the commentary and they even admitted that the scores were way to generous for China. I saw 1 balance check after another and those should have been deductions. What did they end up with? almost 16’s except for the first one which fell and got a lower score. USA had 2 really good routines and the scores were lower what kind of crap is going on here. This is why I like a sport were there is a definite winner and looser that is determined by what you do period not what someone else thinks you did

i agree with john. i thought it was really weird that they (china) got 15.9 with all those balance checks. it’s “suppose” to be fair but they seemed more relaxed w/ the chineses’ mistakes on the beam.

although those floor exercises by the chinese were really good. shawn johnson’s floor routine didn’t go as well as her qual. round i thought.

but silver is still respectable.

Bela Karoyli did say that under pressure its always the older, experienced veteran to crack, hence Alicia Sacromone’s mistakes. China had an unfair advantage by using inexperienced 13 year old girls.
