Canada’s archery team set for the Olympics

Three men have sewn up places in the Canadian archery team at the team trials which ended on Monday in Toronto.

There were 14 starters at the three day event but it was Crispin Duenas from Toronto, Jay Lyon of Winnipeg and John David (J.D.) Burnes also of Toronto who clinched the three Olympic berths.

It will be Canada’s youngest team with all three qualifiers in their early 20s.

Three Canadian women also earned spots in the field. They are Racheal Savage of Caldeon, Ont., .Marie-Pier Beaudet of Levis, Que.and Kateri Vrakking of Toronto
