Beijing line 10 subway due to open anytime
Beijing’s newest subway line, Line 10, is due to open at anytime now. The line has been four and a half years in the making. It was built at a cost of $2.25 billion. With a single ticket of just 2RMB (30 cents) it is going to a while for the government to recover the construction costs.
Here is a list of some of the major stations:
Bagou First station on the western end end is a short taxi ride from the Summer Palace.
Haidian Huanzhuang Access to Beijing’s electronic district.
Beitucheng Change here to Line 8 for the Olympic stadiums.
Taiyanggong The massive Swedish furniture and home accessory store Ikea is about a 20 minute walk from this station.
Liangmaqiao Get off here for Lucky Street, Laitai Flower Market and Ladies Street.
Tuanjiehu This will be the closest station to Sanlitun bar street and the new Sanlitun Village shopping center.
Hujialou For getting to the Chaoyang Theatre and acrobatics show.
Guomao Often referred to as the CBD area of Beijing and you can change to Beijing’s oldest subway line, Line 1.
Jintaixizhao station near the new CCTV building.
