30 minutes to go for opening ceremony

It’s just 30 minutes to go before the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics starts. China has waited 7 years just for this moment, putting up with the hassles and restrictions - I hope they think it was worth it.

I started this blog 3 years ago, so it is amazing now to think I am sitting here in Beijing writing this. It is going to be a time of my life I won’t forget!

The outdoor screen at Chaoyang Park was closed. The one at Ditan Park was open under very tight security. You couldn’t even take in food or drinks. I am happy just to watch the events unfold on television.

It is still fairly humid and I have the aircon on. It is not quite dark at the moment, but it will be when the games start. The stadium is about 80 per cent full and people had to go through four security checks just to get in the stadium.

According to a Twitter user it is hot and humid in the Birds Nest stadium.

However you feel about the games, I think everyone should just grab a beer, sit back now and watch the show. Enjoy!

Yes — this is a day I will never forget as well.

To “live blog” about the events in Beijing while the opening unfolds and they unfold the invention of paper just blew my mind.

Last week my blog was not visible to anyone in Mainland China. Now it is. The world changes as we type.

One hour and 5 minutes into the opening and we’re floored. Fantastic. Words can’t describe it.

Oh my god could Channel 7 in Australia’s commentators be any more offensive with a smile on there Racist faces.

They think they are making jokes, but they are making them at the expense of the host nation.

I would not be surprised if China revokes their press privileges for these insults.

I can not watch any more of this because I can not turn off the offensive commentators and all they are doing is making me really angry.

I will have to buy a copy from china tomorrow, because any copies from Australia will have your terrible commentators.

Amazing this is by far the best opening ceremony i can remember and let’s face it the western propaganda is against the Chinese i for one love CHINA and I’m not Chinese. I love China because it is honest, sincere and wise country the western stations are spouting bile against China because they are told to do so. The intelligence services are doing the bidding of the corporations using subversive tactics to undermine and shame the government.

For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble,
Double, double toil and trouble,
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.
William Shakespeare from Macbeth

This is political pressure western style using spin and the media to make lies and insinuations against a peaceful and prosperous nation. China will rule for the next few hundred years as the dragon awakes it will consume the eagle with one breath. The British bulldog and the American eagle fear the Chinese dragon because they know its true power is the people so they use divide and conquer to fragment a unified nation in order to sell it in pieces to western corporations.

Remember the Sydney Olympics the western media didn’t care about the aborigines or their plight for recognition as the legitimate occupiers of Australia before James Cook and his band of criminals.
